OUR MISSION:
Center Stage Dance Studio aspires to be a welcoming and inclusive space. We provide quality dance instruction that is both educational and inspirational to dancers of all ages. From recreational dance to serious study, correct technique is always encouraged. We teach with positive reinforcement and believe that our students learn best in a supportive environment. We have a studio where dancers of any age can feel part of an extended family - a safe space for dancers to learn and explore their passion for dance.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
You can fail here. At Center Stage, we believe in championing all of our students, even in the moments they don’t feel successful. We aim to encourage each dancer at every level throughout their wins and their losses. We know that being a great dancer is so much more than kicks, turns, and leaps: along with excellent technique, we teach life skills, dealing with setbacks, overcoming obstacles, and building confidence and self-esteem. Our hope is this will enable our dancers to be great leaders, and more importantly, amazing teammates.
We know that every dancer has their own timeline. Our goal is to tailor their dance journey to fit their needs without telling them where they ‘should’ be. We strive to listen and learn from our dancers and continuously develop so we offer what our students want and need. Center Stage puts intensive effort into staying on top of the latest dance techniques and technical tools so that when our students come to our classes, they can trust they are getting the absolute best training in the best facility.
OUR STUDIO:
We are proud to have a studio with the finest equipment for our dancers. Our studio is 12,000 square feet, with seven state-of-the-art dance rooms. All of our rooms include custom marley covered sprung floors, full-length mirrors, and the best available sound systems! We have a kids cafe, lounge, girls' locker room, and study room. With our faculty, we have truly built this studio into what it is today. We hope to be a home away from home for our dancers. We are committed to personally investing in our students and the physical space we offer them. We are excited to be celebrating over 30 years of dance education in Northfield!

OUR STORY:
Located in Northfield, Ohio, just 30 minutes south of Cleveland, our dance studio is in a convenient spot for all dancers in Northeast Ohio. Center Stage Dance Studio was founded in 1988 by owner Sherry Federan. Center Stage began as a single room with only 45 students. Thanks to her dedication and the hard work of her family and faculty, our studio has grown to the size and caliber it is today.
Despite CSDS’ growth, we continue to offer the same individual attention and dedication we had in 1988. With Sherry’s son Mitchel now taking over as Dance Studio Director, we have continued to stay a family business with values that make our dancers feel like they can have a home away from home. We are grateful to our community for being a part of our legacy and continuing the tradition of excellence.
At Center Stage Dance Studio, we believe Every Movement Matters. Every step, every challenge, every breakthrough, and every moment in between plays a meaningful part in a dancer’s journey. We celebrate the big accomplishments, but we also recognize the small moments that often lead to the greatest growth: the first time a step clicks, the courage to try again, the confidence to take a risk, and the determination to keep going.
There is no single path to becoming a dancer, and no two journeys look the same. What matters is embracing each moment, learning from every experience, and finding joy in the process along the way. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of our dancers’ journeys and hope that every movement they make at Center Stage leaves them with greater confidence, creativity, resilience, and a love for dance that stays with them long after they leave our doors.
