KAR Columbus: A Weekend of Excellence

Our full Competition Company hit the road this past weekend for KAR in Columbus, OH, and it was a weekend we won’t soon forget!

With every dancer back together again, the energy all weekend long was electric. From early call times to awards sessions, our team showed up ready to give their all - not just on stage, but for each other. There’s nothing quite like a full-team competition, and this one reminded us just how powerful it is when everyone shares in the experience.

Across every category, our dancers delivered strong performances that reflected their growth since the start of the season. Whether it was a solo taking the stage or a full group bringing a piece to life, each routine showcased dedication, artistry, and heart. Just as meaningful was the unwavering support behind the scenes - teammates working together through sickness and injury, cheering loudly, celebrating every accomplishment, and lifting each other up every step of the way.

We are incredibly proud to share that our studio was awarded both the Intermediate and Elite Studio of Excellence Awards! These honors recognize the highest-scoring routines across all divisions - from solos through large groups - and truly highlight the depth, versatility, and strength of our entire program. It’s a testament to the hard work happening at every level of our Company.

A special congratulations goes out to our Company Dancers of the Weekend, Claire Biel and Sydney Kapadia! Both dancers stood out to their teachers this weekend, and we are so proud of the example they set!

Each competition is another opportunity to grow, refine, and connect - and KAR in Columbus was a great step forward for our dancers. We’re leaving the weekend feeling motivated for everything still to come this season. Congratulations, dancers!
